For books, the easiest method is to use the self-service overhead book scanner on the main floor of the library near the stairs. This scanner can output in TIFF, JPG, or PDF file types up to 300 DPI resolution. You do have the option to email the file to yourself, but we recommend bringing a USB drive for larger files.

If you are a member of the Whitman College community and you need high-resolution scans or help scanning fragile materials, please get in touch with the archives for assistance.

Another place to check out on campus for scanning needs is the Multimedia Development Lab in Hunter, managed by WCTS.
