As a Whitman student or a faculty and staff member, you have access to the New York Times through Penrose Library. Students have access to the New York Times until December 31 of the year they graduate. For Faculty and Staff, you will have to renew your access to the New York Times every four years.
How to set up your NYT account:
- Go to accessnyt.com
- Search “Whitman College” in the Find School Box
- Follow the instructions for if you are on or off-campus. If setting up your account off campus, click the “go” button to enter Whitman’s credentials, then create your account. You can use any email to create your account, but you need a current Whitman email to access this page.
- Create an account using your Whitman email. If you have an existing paid individual subscription, you will need to cancel that subscription, and then activate an academic account using that same email address.
