Can I renew a book?

Below are the number of a type of renewals available for each type of user and item. Check out the How long can I check out a book? if you are also interested in how long you can check out an item.

Whitman Students

• Whitman Books and Whitman media (DVD, CDs, Vinyl, etc) can be renewed manually or automatically until the end of Spring Semester.
• Whitman Board Games can be renewed for an additional 14 days.
• Summit items can be renewed manually for an additional 6 weeks.
• ILL items are renewed on a case by case basis. Contact the Access Services Manager at ill@whitman.edu to request to renew an ILL item.

Whitman Faculty

• Whitman Books are renewed automatically during Spring semester to the follow year.
• Whitman media (DVD, CDs, Vinyl, etc) can be renewed manually or automatically for 12 additional weeks at a time.
• Whitman Board Games can be renewed for an additional 14 days.
• Summit items can be renewed manually for an additional 6 weeks.
• ILL items are renewed on a case by case basis. Contact the Access Services Manager at ill@whitman.edu to request to renew an ILL item.

• Whitman Books can be renewed for 12 additional weeks.
• Whitman media (DVD, CDs, Vinyl, etc) can be renewed for 6 additional weeks.
• Whitman Board Games can be renewed for an additional 14 days.
• Summit and ILL items are not available for checkout.
