Penrose Library does not charge fines for the time that an item is overdue.
However, if an item is not returned within 20 days of the due date, the item is marked Lost and the patron receives a replacement fee. The replacement fee is $90 for Whitman, Summit and ILL items and $50 for Library Locker keys.
As long as the patron returns the item, the replacement fee is refunded to the patron's account and they receive no fines for the time the item was overdue.
